ERIN + JEFF Deer Park Villa Wedding

Katie and I have been talking about Erin and Jeff’s wedding since we booked Erin last summer. Erin and Jeff wanted to add a personal touch to there big day by incorporating their favorite movie The Big Lebowski. At first you may think this sounds crazy but they added such subtle touches.

To start we used tumbleweeds down the aisle and on the arch. If you have seen the movie the opening scene is a tumbleweed with Tumbling Tumbleweeds playing in the background. The groom and his groomsmen also walked down the aisle to this exact song.

The next little touch we added was the rug the two got married on, “it really tied the ceremony together.” We also used the rug under the sweetheart table to add that little boho and dude touch.

Each guest received a Big Lebowski book of matches at their table. The bride and groom created 5 different match book designs with the Dudes face that were placed throughout the venue. Everywhere you looked you saw “the dude.”

The cake stand was one of my favorite touches. In the movie their best friend Donnie dies and they place his ashes in a Folgers coffee can. If you haven’t already guessed the cake stand was a DIY project the bride created using a Folgers can.

Our other favorite touch was the DIY photo booth props. OMG, they knocked it out of the park. They had a ton of quotes, the sunglasses, a rug and even a briefcase with underwear. You know we couldn’t resist so we had to take a quick pic.
